Activities
At various times during the year we organise trips out to local places, such as a pub lunch, picnic, Church services and shopping.
We have a large secure landscaped garden which we use for various activities during the warmer seasons.
Our programme also includes entertainment, in-house seasonal festive parties and visits from local community groups.
Each day residents may join in with activities and light exercises provided by our Social Activities Organiser.
Staff
Our qualified and experienced staff, under the management of our Care Manager, offer 24 hour a day professional care service. All our staff receive continuous in-house training, and attend external educational programmes including NVQ. At Ambleside we are proud of the fact that our staff consistently exceed the required training standard by enrolling additional training courses such as:
- Dementia Level 2
- Challenging Behaviour
- Catheter Care
- Loss & Bereavement
- Diabetes
- Reminiscence

Visiting
The support of family members and friends is much valued and visitors are always welcome.
If you are worried that your relative may get upset when you are leaving, discuss this with a member of staff who will ensure that your relative is offered support and companionship until they settle.
The 98 and 99 bus stops right outside the home, and there is plenty of parking as well. |
