Facilities

Ambleside Residential Care Home is registered for 21 residents, and is situated on 2 floors. There are 18 rooms; 6 with en-suites, and 3 double rooms. Many of the rooms are newly decorated and have brand new furniture and furnishings. All rooms are equipped with emergency call bell facilities.  A chair lift is available to help aid residents to the first floor. There are 2 lounges, a larger main lounge with dining and communal areas for residents to enjoy and watch TV on our new 42” flat screen, and an adjacent quiet lounge where residents can rest and relax or have a nap. Specialist equipment including bath-lifts, floor pressure mats and nursing call aids are available to ensure residents' safety and comfort.

In addition to our long term facilities, respite and day care are also provided when a carer wants to take a holiday or for convalescence.

All bedrooms have a 'Nurse-Call point', and TV outlet. The 'Nurse-Call System' is extended to all communal areas, bathrooms and toilets as well Floor press pads for the night.

An addressable fire alarm system covers every area of the Home. The Home is divided into zones, with automatic door closers that operate in the event of a fire.

Ambleside has a large garden enjoyed by the residents, with patio area and seating, and many mature trees surrounding the garden, and has ample car parking facilities.

All laundry is carried out 'in-house', and is included in the weekly fee.

All religions are respected, and communion, for example, can be arranged at Ambleside if this is required.

A hairdresser and chiropodist also visits, however the cost of this is not included in the weekly fee.

Food

All of our food is prepared fresh daily by our in house chef who can easily accommodate any special dietary requirements.

Our chef uses high quality ingredients which are delivered directly to the home several times a week from independent local suppliers.

Meals include breakfast, lunch and an evening meal, as well as snacks and drinks which are provided throughout the day.
